This Demijohn is absolutely fantastic! Circa 1890 - 1950.
This is a huge 25 Liters Demijohn. It has written on the lip "25 SAV". The colour is amber which is not a common colour. The glass is not perfect and has its lovely imperfections and bubbles trapped. It has a pontil scar underneath.
It would be a fabulous lamp or a perfect decoration item with fake flowers.

All those old Demijohns are unique pieces. They can give so much character to any interior and look beautiful in any room.
“Demijohn” is an old word that formerly referred to any glass vessel with a large body and small neck, enclosed in wickerwork. In France, Demijohn is called “Dame Jeanne”, literally “Lady Jane”.
